Forecast Demand Before Winter Weather Hits
Snow, ice, and sub-zero temperatures are part of winter in the Midwest. This type of weather severely impacts shipping conditions and operational capacity. Winter weather is nothing new, so we would like to assist in preparing for the worst-case scenario.
Planning in advance is the best way to avoid interruptions in your operations. We strongly encourage forecasting your demand. Allowing for extended lead times and placing orders in advance is key. If your facility has available storage, consider stocking crucial products to avoid headaches. You may also want to keep raw materials and finished blends on pallets. The air in your shop might be an adequate temperature, but the concrete floor is likely much colder. We will work diligently to ensure your products are received by the best possible date while coordinating with our freight carriers to help with temperature regulation.
